What Will I Eat?
The food at camp is great!
Because everything about camp is created for kids, our meals are nutritious, delicious and fun. When in our dining hall, kids eat at a table with their cabin and one camper is selected each meal to be the hopper. The hopper is the captain of the meal and their job is to bring the food to the table, and clear the table at the end of the meal.
Breakfast is two courses each day and is a sit down "family style" meal. We always start with cereal and then have a hot course. Meals we often have for our hot course at breakfast are:
- Scrambled Eggs and Bacon
- Pancakes and Yogurt
- Fried Eggs and English Muffins
- Belgin Waffles and Strawberries
- BLT's on a Bagel
At Lunch, cabins come to the dining hall one by one and eat a meal "buffet style". One at a time you walk through the buffet to select exactly what you want. Some buffet meals that we serve are:
- Make your own Sandwiches/Wraps
- Chicken Caesar Salad
- Chicken Burgers and French Fries
- Perogies and Greek Salad
- Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
|Dinner is served in the evening after free time and is family style again. Once each week we have an outdoor themed BBQ with themes and activities (these meals are camper favorites) and after that, all diners are inside the dining hall. Typical meals at supper include:
- Spaghetti and meat sauce, Cesar salad and Garlic Bread
- Ribs, Corn and Salad
- Chicken and Mashed Potatoes
- Roast Beef, Mixed Vegetables and Salad
- Chicken Stir Fry
- Chili in a bread bowl
